What is TSA Precheck?

TSA PreCheck is one of the best kept secrets. It pains me a little to share this as the more people that use it, the more crowded it gets but I live by the oath that gorgeous gorgeous girls don’t gatekeep!

Okay, so what is TSA Precheck?

TSA PreCheck allows air travelers deemed low-risk to enjoy an expedited security screening process at airports.

Why should I get it?

TSA PreCheck passengers typically wait in shorter lines; you don’t have to remove your shoes, belts or hats and are subject to less-rigorous scans, making the lines move WAY faster!

How much is it?

It is $85 and you have to renew once every 5 years! (SO worth it)

How do I apply?

It takes five minutes to submit an application online and schedule an in-person appointment that includes a background check and fingerprinting at an enrollment center. Visit tsa.gov/precheck to start the process!

It may seem like a lot to go through with scheduling an appointment but it only takes a few minutes for more convince for the next 5 years!

Now that I have it, what do I do?

Once you are approved, you will get a Known Traveller Number (KTN) once you get this number you will add it to any of your airline profiles and it will automatically add to your boarding ticket! (if the first time you fly it doesn’t show up, just go to the ticketing agent and they will add it for you!)

Once you’ve completed those steps you are ready to zoom through the TSA lines and go relax/grab a coffee before your flight! ✈️
