From Atlantis with love,

Atlantis is everything you would expect it to be, and more. From the moment you walk in, it truly feels like you just stepped into an underwater world. There are so many amazing things to see and do while visiting so read below for some of my favorite parts!

Marine Exhibits

Seeing the marine exhibits at Atlantis was probably my favorite part of the entire trip. They were so massive and it was incredible to see all the animals so up close. There are about 5 million exhibits so here is a list of my favorites and the ones you definitely shouldn’t miss!

  • The Dig (located in the Royal)

  • Ruins Lagoon (pictured here)

  • Predator Lagoon (shark tunnel pictured above)

  • Stingray Lagoon

  • Hibiscus Lagoon (home to the turtles)

Dolphin Cay

I unfortunately wasn’t able to partake in any of the Dolphin Cay adventures but I got some more information while I was there to know exactly what I will be doing next time I visit! Below are the top 3 activities I’ll be looking at for my next stay!

  • Swim in Wonder- this is where you can freely swim with the dolphins and you get to interact with them! (on the pricier side but if you love dolphins, definitely worth it!)

  • Paddleboard with Dolphins- this is the first on my list next time, it is one of the more inexpensive experiences you can have with the dolphins and I personally love paddleboarding!

  • Playtime with Sea Lions- we met someone on our trip that did this activity and she said it was SO much fun and loved every minute!

Aquaventure

Something we didn’t realize until we got to Atlantis is that Aquaventure is included in your resort fee! This gives you access to all the waterslides (including the famous leap of faith) and rapid river!

I am not a big waterslide person, but the main one I would suggest doing is the Serpent Slide which lets you tube through a tunnel surrounded by sharks!

Marina Village

This is where a lot of the shopping and casual dining options are! We didn’t realize this side existed for two days and once we discovered it, a lot of things started to make sense. lol This is the perfect place to spend an afternoon stroll and taking in the sights of the massive yachts in the harbor!

Carmine’s

Perfect for dinner! Carmine’s is a family style Italian restaurant located in the Marina. Emphasis on the family style! The photo of the food above doesn’t fully capture how large these portions are, but the lasagna was bigger than my head and could’ve feed a family of 6.. there were 3 of us and we also got chicken parmesan.. I think you can connect the dots and just know that they had to almost literally roll us out of there because we left so full! Food 10/10 and not as pricey as a lot of the other dining!

The Village Burger Shack

So here’s what happened… They brought out the burgers and they looked so delicious that I forgot to get a photo. But don’t you worry, I did still manage to get a photo of my diet coke. 😉 In all seriousness, these burgers were SO GOOD and very reasonably priced! I would suggest doing these the first night of your stay because they were the perfect filling/low key meal after traveling all day!

Lagoon Bar & Grill

This was probably my favorite place to eat in all of Atlantis! The location is perfect, you get the most amazing views of the Royal Towers, you’re surrounded by the predator lagoon, and the food is light and casual so perfect for a relaxing lunch after the beach!

Beaches & Pools

With 11 pools and 5 miles of beaches, there are plenty of places at Atlantis for some R&R. My favorite spots to kick back and relax were the:

  • Coral Pool- featuring a swim up bar and perfect spots to layout by the pool and get a tan

  • Hammocks by the Beach- if I could live in a hammock for the rest of my life I would.

  • Royal Baths- this pool had the perfect view of the royal towers and plenty of space when the other pools were maxed out.

  • Rapid River- the first part of this was similar to a lazy river with waves then had a few 10 second small rapids. I wouldn’t say they were that thrilling so I loved it for relaxation.
