Lake Como, Italy
From Lake Como with love,
Lake Como.. the only way to truly describe it is to picture a magical place out of a fairytale book.
Things To Do
Boat ride around the lake is absolutely necessary when in Lake Como! There are several towns connected by the lake and the only way to get to some of the towns is by boat! Also, by taking a boat tour you will get some of the most amazing views that you won’t be able to see by ferry or car. The tour we took was about $100 a person and it was well worth it! We got to see the magnificent homes of Richard Branson and The Kennedy’s while also seeing almost every town on Lake Como. 10/10 would recommend.
Bellagio is one of the main towns you should plan to see when visiting Lake Como. Not only is it beautiful, but it also has a ton of great shopping and restaurants! A lot of people choose to stay in Bellagio however, we stayed in Cadenabbia where it was a little bit quieter and extremely easy to get there by Ferry!
Places to stay
Grand Hotel Cadenabbia This hotel truly exceeded all of my expectations. I had pretty high hopes from the photos I saw online, and when we arrived it was even more gorgeous than I could’ve imagined. The people that worked at the hotel from the valet to the front desk were absolutely amazing as well, they were so nice and made sure that we knew where we were going and helped us arrange all of the things we wanted to do! One of the best places I’ve ever stayed in my life.
Grand Hotel Tremezzo another famous place to stay on the lake because they feature the only pool on Lake Como! We weren’t able to stay at this hotel but fingers crossed that next time we will be able to experience it!
